The AquaCare bathtub itself has no fixed handedness and can be installed in either direction, though we recommend placing the long side against the wall.
The optional Showerbed accessory does come in left-hand and right-hand versions. The correct version is determined by the position of the mixer tap when viewing the bathtub from the long side.
The handedness ensures that the Showerbed opens away from the caregiver during use, not toward them.
If the bathtub is later repositioned or flipped 180°, the mixer tap will move to the opposite side — and the opposite hand Showerbed will be needed.
