The Ropox Prize: Recognizing excellence
Ropox actively works to create better conditions for people and their caregivers. That is why we annually honor an occupational therapist with the Ropox Prize.

Since 1989, Ropox has annually honored an occupational therapist who has made an extraordinary contribution with the Ropox Prize and an accompanying grant of 25,000 DKK.
The prize reflects our clear mission: to make a difference for people with disabilities through innovative kitchen solutions, advanced tables, a wide range of bathroom products, and much more.
Any occupational therapist or group of therapists can nominate a colleague for the Ropox Prize. All nominations are sent directly to the Danish Association of Occupational Therapists, where the association’s vice-chairman and two practicing therapists review the nominations and select the winner. Ropox does not participate in selecting the winner.
Digital Pioneer in Occupational Therapy: Young Therapist Wins Ropox Prize 2024
Simone Bundgaard-Egeberg was celebrated at the major occupational therapy conference ERGO24 as this year’s winner of the Ropox Prize for her remarkable work in digital home care.
Simone Bundgaard-Egeberg is employed in the e-district of Haderslev Municipality, a welfare technology care district that is the first of its kind, helping citizens with medication management and daily structure through client-centered technologies. Here, Simone bridges the gap between technology, staff, and citizens, and she is naturally very pleased with the recognition from her colleagues.
“It is very overwhelming to receive the Ropox Prize, and I am incredibly proud of the recognition I have received,” says Simone Bundgaard-Egeberg, adding:
“It means a lot to receive the prize, especially because I am relatively newly graduated. When you look at the list of previous Ropox Prize winners, they are people with significant experience and expertise in the field. So I am very honored.”
